Product Description

Getting into winter mountain travel is exciting, but can be a little daunting. Learn how to interpret winter weather and avalanche forecasts and then plan and execute safer journeys. Whether you’re a walker, climber, skier or boarder, this one day course, set in the context of a short mountain journey, will give you the basics of snowpack assessment, route planning and decision making in avalanche terrain.

  • Interpreting the Scottish Avalanche Information Service forecast
