Intro to Mountainbiking


Scotland has earned a justifiable reputation as a fantastic place to ride. With sweeping singletrack through ancient pineforest, lonely trails across high mountain plateaux, family friendly trails and trail centres and epic off piste rides along beautiful coastlines, there’s something for everyone…


Product Description

The Scottish Highlands is surely one of the best mountainbiking destinations in the world. Quite a bold statement, but backed up by the sheer variety of trails and landscapes and also by the increasing numbers of riders exploring here.

Well surfaced and waymarked family-friendly bike paths. Purpose made trail centres with varied routes and loos and cakeshops. Challenging singletrack rolling through remote mountains and forests. All these are there to be found, depending on what you want to do, together with excellent providers of hire bikes.

A typical introductory day would cover the basics such as effective use of brakes and gears when off road. Depending on the trails used, we my also delve into how to balance and power when the terrain gets a little more challenging.

A full equipment list will be sent at booking. You are welcome to bring your own mountainbike, but it’s suitability will be checked before the trip starts. Good quality hire bikes can be arranged (subject to availability).
