Overview
Discover the world-class hiking in the Cairngorms National Park on our expertly-led guided walks. Here we have five of Britain’s highest mountains, together with the largest area of subarctic landscape in the country. Rare wildlife, changeable weather and ancient history are a part of the landscape here. These hikes cover a variety of regions in the Cairngorms. For example, you could:
- tick off big summits (eg: Cairn Gorm, Braeriach or Sgorr Gaoithe)
- explore the rewilding forests and hills of Glen Feshie
- take the family on an exciting guided mountain adventure walk in the Cairngorms
- learn navigation and boost your mapreading skills
- spend the night in a bothy, or wild camp or bivvy (additional fee applies)
These guided walks are available year-round throughout the Cairngorms. Furthermore, they are backed up with over twenty years of experience leading in the Scottish Highlands. Depending on your goals, you might also want to check out my Ben Macdui trek or my Cairngorms-based Intro to Winter Mountain Skills (1 day) course.
We always carry full emergency kit and spare clothing and involve you fully in the decision-making process. And if you have specific interests such as wildlife, geology or history, we can offer expertise in that too. Walking and hiking in the Cairngorms involves really special places and challenging weather – so guided is a great option.
