What makes Arc Guiding activities special?

Scotland offers many outdoor activities, set amidst an ancient and fascinating landscape. Our guided tours explore different areas of northern Scotland throughout the year. From our base in the Cairngorms National Park we have plenty of wonderful locations on our doorstep. A key focus of Arc Guiding is respect for nature. That means our guided activities and tours aim to both preserve and educate about Scotland’s wild environment. Therefore, we take a ‘minimum impact’ approach in all our outdoor activities. We also place just as much value on wildlife as we do on adventure – in fact we also have many years of experience leading birding and wildlife-watching trips.
We are passionate about learning and exploring, with experience spanning 20 years in the Highlands. Arc Guiding also prides itself on a range of outdoor leadership qualifications (for example, summer and winter Mountain Leader awards). Scotland offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including for example mountain biking, ski touring, watching wildlife, hiking and sea kayaking and canoeing.

Arc Guiding runs a small number of public tours in Scotland each year. The majority of our bookings are private tailored experiences, for locals and holidaymakers from around the world. With online booking and flexible itineraries, we can make the most of the weather and time available. We also aim to work with other local organisations and companies where possible.
