Guided activities and courses
Check out Arc Guiding’s expert guided activities in the spectacular Highlands of Scotland.
In an ancient and fascinating landscape, Scotland offers many outdoor activities. Our guided tours all explore different areas of northern Scotland, at different times of year. We are based in the northern Cairngorms National Park. This is itself full of beautiful landscapes, but it is also a great location from which to access the rest of the Highlands.
A key focus of Arc Guiding is respect for nature. That means our guided activities and tours aim to reduce negative impacts on Scotland’s wild environment as we go.
Another goal of these tours and activities to provide quality guided journeys in some of the best locations of Scotland. We have a passion for learning and exploring, with experience spanning 20 years in the Highlands, together with a range of outdoor leadership qualifications (for example, summer and winter Mountain Leader awards).
Variety of adventure activities
Scotland offers can a wide range of outdoor activities in Scotland. These include mountain biking, ski touring, wildlife watching and hill walking. Although we are a relatively small place, our landscape and weather offers plenty of challenge at times, with many hidden stories! Arc Guiding is unusual in being able to provide a wide range of expertise in outdoor leadership in addition to nature and wildlife interpretation. On this page, you can see the range of guided activities and tours I offer in the Highlands of Scotland (hill walkers may also want to check out my Cairngorms Winter Skills courses).
Arc Guiding runs a small number of ‘public’ tours in Scotland each year. The majority of our bookings are private tailored experiences, for locals and holidaymakers from around the world. With online booking and flexible itineraries, we can make the most of the weather and time available. We also aim to work with other local organisations and companies where possible.
