Help page on cancellations and refunds.
Arc Guiding handles refunds on a case-by-case basis.
Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances do sometimes affect outdoor activities. Wherever possible, Arc Guiding will try change the location, duration or date. If none of these are suitable, a refund may be offered.
Outdoor activities are done in almost all weathers, so bring the right gear and clothing! We will always adjust our plan, route or location to make the best of it. But if the guide decides the weather is just too bad, we may offer an alternative. In rare cases, we may decide to reschedule or refund.
Arc Guiding handles refunds on a case-by-case basis. Depending on circumstances, you may have the option to simply reschedule your booking, get a credit note or get a partial or full refund. See our Terms & Conditions for details.
If you are prevented from coming due to having COVID, shielding or lockdown, etc, there are several options. ‘Rolling over’ the booking to another date has been popular in the past.
In Britain, there is no legal requirement to have your own travel or medical insurance to do outdoor activities. Rescues, for example, are currently free of charge and NHS medical attention is ‘free at the point of need’. However, all travellers are recommended to have some sort of travel or medical insurance in place for peace of mind and to help cover unforseen costs (eg: of cancellation).
