Overview
Come on a private half-day canoe safari plus half-day walk to learn about some of the Cairngorms special wildlife. We will paddle slowly along peaceful wooded shorelines and perhaps gentle rivers, enjoying views and wildlife as we go. Then enjoy a gentle walk in some of our great local wildlife habitat. (This trip combines really well with my Cairngorms Classic Wildlife day tour).

These guided safaris are led by Malcolm O’Reilly, an experienced and qualified canoe/kayak coach and bird guide. Drawing on 20+ years experience he will lead you to beautiful places inhabited by great wildlife. We travel in double or single canoes as appropriate and this safari is suitable for young children (under parent supervision). If you’re a canoeing novice, you will get full instruction in the basic strokes.
We will also have opportunities to leave our canoe and continue our safari on shore as well. Falling in is very unlikely, but if needed we can quickly get you back in the boat and rewarmed on land. Your feet may get wet, but there is plenty of room for personal gear (including cameras, binoculars and telescopes) in waterproof containers. - Price based on a full day of leading, with up to 1.5 hours canoeing (2 adults in 1 boat).
- Additional 2, 3 or 4 person boats are available to hire, for an additional fee (subject to availability).
