Pre-trip preparation
- Fill in a Booking form
Completing a Booking form is part of Arc Guiding’s Booking process.
- Check travel insurance
Travel/medical insurance is worth having when it comes to cancellations and refunds (see Arc Guiding’s Booking process for more details).
- Organise accomodation
Make sure you’ve got a place to stay, if you need it. (We can recommend areas to stay for Arc Guiding courses and trips, but not specific accomodations. Get in Contact for help).
- Organise hire kit
You might need to hire specialist gear, so get this organised in good time. (If you need to hire anything for an Arc Guiding booking, contact us for local providers, or view our Hire Equipment options).
- Health check!
You might want to do some training or chat to your doctor/pharmacist before your trip. (Check these links for more help on Arc Guiding’s Ability levels and Booking process).
- Get local info
Read up on skills, gear and the local area! (The Arc Guiding Blog has loads of info relating to outdoor activities and the Scottish Highlands).
- Check meeting and transport
Meeting and transport arrangements need confirming. (For Arc Guiding bookings, go to the Booking process).
- Clothing and Packing
Check the weather and decide what to wear and what to pack (see advice below).
