Help page with pre-trip advice and links for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
Whether you are booked onto one of our Scottish wildlife tours, or are planning your own journey, it’s worth following a general pretrip checklist so you don’t forget the basics. Next, take your binoculars (if you have them), plus food, drink, and appropriate clothing and footwear. When bird watching on foot, you might want spare warm clothing or if you are going to be stationary for a while, especially in a remote place. Also consider UV protection and precautions against tick bites. Many of these topics are covered in more detail in the blog.
